Buffalo Bills sign Reggie Bush to 1-year contract

The Buffalo Bills signed free agent running back Reggie Bush to a contract on Monday to add experience to their backfield.

The person spoke to the AP on the condition of anonymity because the Bills have not announced the deal that was reached Monday afternoon.

Bush played just five games for the San Francisco 49ers last season. McCoy, once healthy, will return as the top back after rushing for 895 yards in just 12 games last season, while Williams served as an explosive complement to McCoy in his rookie season.

Texas Delegates Break Into Bitter Fighting Over Ted Cruz's Non-Endorsement
Trump blamed Cruz for an anti-Trump ad including a nude photo of Melania - a charge Cruz denied. Ted Cruz was met with mixed reactions from Texas delegates this morning.

I don't think it's a given that Bush automatically takes over the number-two job with Karlos Williams being unavailable for the first month of the season, but Gillislee will need to do a great deal to convince the coaching staff that he's the most multi-faceted threat to complement McCoy at the start of the season.

If he passes, it's expected that he will sign with the team and make his way to Rochester for training camp. "That certainly wasn't our strength previous year".

Bush's best season statistically came in 2011 with Miami, when he rushed for 1,086 yards and six touchdowns. Oddly, he's only returned one kickoff in his career, which went for 32 yards in 2010 during his tenure in New Orleans.

Odell Beckham Leaves Giants Practice With Ankle Injury
Giants head coach Ben McAdoo spoke to the media after Sunday's practice, stating that "Odell got cleated and has a cut or two". It also doesn't hurt his case that the All-Pro cornerback has a 100 rating in the new Madden video game.

The 31-year-old former Heisman Trophy victor will offer depth behind Bills starter LeSean McCoy, who has battled ankle problems this offseason.

Bush would provide immediate cover for Karlos Williams' four-game suspension, and potentially replace him in the backup role when he returns, depending on what kind of shape he's in.

The Bills also signed free-agent receiver Kain Colter, who has yet to play an National Football League game since completing his college career in Northwestern in 2013. Buffalo also re-signed Daniel Herron and added James Wilder Jr., the son of former Buccaneers fullback James Wilder.

Braves Acquire Matt Kemp, Send Hector Olivera to San Diego
That means the Braves would end up paying Kemp somewhere between $13.5 million to $15.5 million annually for three seasons. San Diego is sending Atlanta $3 million this year as part of the trade: half on August 15 and the rest on September 15.
