Shooting on Las Vegas strip leaves 1 dead

Police say a gunman has barricaded himself inside a bus along the Las Vegas Strip, prompting a partial closure of the busy boulevard.

The suspect was barricaded inside a bus, as police and tactical teams rushed to the scene and surrounded the vehicle, according to CNN.

Police have confirmed one person has been shot and transported to UMC Trauma.

A social media post showed what appeared to be a person in a pig mask outside a jewellery store after the robbery, but police said they could not verify the photo's authenticity. The victim's condition is unknown at this time. There is no evidence of a second shooter and it is not an active shooter situation as was initially reported.
