Poised as an "intelligent task management app", Microsoft To-Do is a completely new app built by the same team as Wunderlist. Microsoft plans to incorporate the best features of Wunderlist into To-Do over the coming months. It is connected to Office 365 and will offer built-in integration with Outlook along with other Office apps.

It's replacement? A much simpler affair simply called Microsoft To Do, now available in Preview from the Windows Store as well as in iPhone and Android versions. Microsoft wants to change that with a new app feature that basically removes passwords from the equation entirely. That said, the Redmond giant is still giving final touches to fine tune and add more features to the app.
April 19th saw the release of the public preview of the Microsoft To-Do. "In the meantime, there will not be any features brought to Wunderlist, but we will continue to ensure the security of the Wunderlist experience".
As is the case with a growing number of Microsoft applications and services, there's no standalone version of To-Do.
Having spent just a few minutes with it, I can't say I like To-Do more than other apps I've tried, including the significantly more powerful Wunderlist and Todoist, or even Google's pared-down Keep. In its blog, Microsoft presented this as an easy way to manage lists, as these can be "just as hard to follows as they were to complete".
