OnePlus 5 teased by company's CEO

Posted May 04, 2017

Before the impending debut of the OnePlus 5 we have started seeing a healthy influx of some leaks, rumors and images of the device.

The official teaser also doesn't give away any specifications or features, but a recently leaked render of the phone, and what are thought to be official shots from the camera, confirm a dual rear camera setup. Still, we do expect the OnePlus 5 to offer noticeably better battery life than the OnePlus 3T, thanks to the more efficient hardware inside and perhaps better software optimization as well.

Other than these, the OnePlus 5 is expected to keep the same 5.5-inch display screen, but don't be surprised if the resolution stays at 1080p for the base model of 6GB/128GB and probably QHD for the 8GB/256GB variant.

Is Ubisoft Teasing New Far Cry 3 Prequel or Remaster?
It also linked to a picture of Far Cry 3 villain and fan favourite, Vaas, accompanied by his most famous line of dialogue. Ubisoft is up to something, and it has Far Cry fans grasping for straws and trying (and failing) to remain calm.

According to BGR, Lau teased the upcoming OnePlus 5 smartphone on Weibo.

The post also states that the OnePlus 5 will boast a dual-camera setup and strengthen some previous rumours that suggest the device will come loaded with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Kumamoto technology believes the internal storage will be 128 GB at least.

Elsewhere, Kumamoto Technology took to the Chinese social network Weibo to say that the OnePlus 4 (or OnePlus 5, as it might be called) will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, just like the OnePlus 3T, and that it will have a 3,600mAh battery. OnePlus' Dash charging has become a benchmark for the fast charging tech and the post mentions that it will be further improved by 25 percent over the last iteration. Notably, the smartphone's features should be enough to compete with the likes of Samsung's latest flagship Galaxy S8 and the upcoming Apple iPhone 8.

Donald Trump advisor to leave the White House
At least 18 Democratic representatives signed a letter calling on President Trump to dismiss the top security adviser. The news he is accepting an outside role comes after reports raising questions about his security clearance status.

Lastly, the Weibo leaker can't confirm if the OnePlus 5 will have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The OnePlus 5's specs are still unconfirmed.
