Democrats aim to keep focus on Trump's meeting with Russians

There is a new poll from Monmouth University today that asked people how much certain spokespeople help and hurt President Donald Trump every time they speak for him and the White House.

Mike Dubke, an experienced Republican strategist, was hired to revamp the White House media strategy.

Dubke, who served in the post for three months, tendered his resignation May 18.

The briefing also follows news Tuesday morning that White House communications director Michael Dubke has resigned, and there are reports of other possible staffing changes.

LEADING OFF: Night moves for Tanaka; Blue Jays go batty
Jose Bautista has been a driving force in the resurgence, hitting.320 with nine homers with 21 RBIs following a miserable April. Justin Smoak hit a three-run homer and Russell Martin added a two-run shot for the Blue Jays, who have 43 home runs in May.

But this is the Trump White House we're talking about.

Sean Spicer could have come to the daily press conference and said something like, "he obviously meant to type "coverage" but didn't get a chance to finish the thought and deleted it when he realized the mistake", and then moved on to the real news of the day.

White House chief of staff Reince Priebus thanked Dubke in a statement and said Dubke had "offered to remain onboard until a transition is concluded".

Kushner's meetings have attracted the attention of the FBI in its ongoing investigation into Russian efforts to disrupt the 2016 presidential election and potential contact between Trump campaign staff and Russian officials.

Rookie Ed Jones of Dale Coyne Racing was third, a career best for his IndyCar career and the best 500 finish in Coyne's history. A red flag stopped action for 19 minutes to fix the barrier and catch fencing in the short chute between Turns 1 and 2.

His departure comes amid White House plans for a larger strategic shake-up to tackle head-on allegations involving communication between Russian Federation and Trump's presidential campaign, including a "war room" to combat mounting questions and multiple probes.

The Republican president came home to face more questions on Russian Federation after media reports about communications during and after the campaign between his son-in-law and close adviser, Jared Kushner, and Russia's ambassador to Washington. That comes as a top White House communications official is stepping aside, and the administration is scrambling to create a "war room" to battle leakers and critics. Trump has entertained bringing his former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, and former deputy campaign manager, David Bossie, more formally back into the fold.

"He has expressed his desire to leave the White House and made very clear that he would see through the president's global trip and come to work every day and work hard even through that trip", Conway said.

"We have a MASSIVE trade deficit with Germany, plus they pay FAR LESS than they should on North Atlantic Treaty Organisation & military". The president's action also raised fears other countries would think twice before confiding in the U.S.
