Posted June 02, 2017

Without warning the rock group dropped their new single Run, complete with the awesome new video featuring the band as a bunch of elderly miscreants who cause havoc in a church before carjacking some kids. All told, the "Run" video is as much a must-see as the song is an instant Foo classic, both boldly looking into the band's future while building on the rock solid Foo Fighters foundation.

Foo Fighters have released a new video, Run, directed by frontman Dave Grohl.

Wake up, the Foo Fighters are back.

Happy June! The sun is out, the birds are singing, the breeze is blowing, and there's new music to enjoy.

The track begins softly with a gently strummed guitar over Dave Grohl's subdued vocals.

Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis said: "We're incredibly lucky to have the Foo Fighters headlining on the Saturday night this year". The song sees the Foos in familiar territory, kicking off with a ballad-esque beginning, only to quickly shift into raging high gear, bolstered by Grohl-screamed lyrics.

"Run" is the band's first new music since the Saint Cecilia EP in November 2015, and it's rumored to be the lead track off their hotly anticipated ninth studio album.
