Protesters gathered at the Washington Monument for the March for Truth on Saturday in Washington, D.C.

People gathered today at the statehouse calling for several things, including an independent investigation into possible Russian interference in the 2016 United States presidential election.

Supporters of President Donald Trump and his policies demonstrate during a "Pittsburgh Not Paris" rally in Lafayette Square in Washington, D.C., on June 3, 2017. They called for an independent investigation on his dealings with Russian Federation and the full release of his tax returns to reveal potential conflicts of interest.

Controversies have swirled around the Trump White House during his presidency regarding claims of collusion between his campaign and Russian officials and questions surrounding the president's firing of James Comey as Federal Bureau of Investigation director last month.

The "Pittsburgh not Paris" rally took its name from the president's statement on the withdrawal that he was elected to "represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris".

This time it was a "March for Truth".

Trump said his decision to back out was to support American workers.

Supporters said their voices are no less important.

The rally's name was a reference to Trump's remarks this week announcing his decision to pull out of the Paris climate accord. Other signs were more cheeky, including one that said "Super Callous Fascist Racist Extra Braggadocious".

"What's unfortunate is the media that's making the division ― and the other leftist group ― but the reality is people do support what he's doing", an unidentified Trump supporter told Fox News.

"We don't know all the facts yet, but we know this much", Raskin said. "That's why we're marching on Saturday".
