Little girl's soccer team kicked out because she 'looks like a boy'

A Nebraska family says they are angry over the way a soccer tournament treated their 8-year-old daughter's team. She's so good that she plays on the 11-year-old roster even though she's 8. And she likes it that way.

That last point became an issue this weekend when Mili's all-girl team was disqualified from a soccer tournament in Springfield, Nebraska. "They made her cry", he said. After a follow-up question, she added that the decision made her feel "not happy". The family showed them Mili's insurance card, which clearly identified her as female.

National Hockey League fines Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf $10000 for use of inappropriate remark
Both players spent the majority of the season in the American Hockey League with the Predators' affiliate in Milwaukee. Jakob Silfverberg leads Anaheim with nine goals, Ryan Getzlaf has 10 assists and Rickard Rakell has 48 shots on goal.

Mili plays for a soccer team called The Azzuri-Cachorros Chicas. "I didn't like my hair long", Mili told WOWT. It has been around forever, Audrey Hepburn had one, Mia Farrow and that didn't stop Frank Sinatra from marrying her, Janelle Monae, Scarlett Johanson, Anne Hathaway, oh and Meghan Klingenberg who played on the US Women's Soccer team in the 2015 FIFA World Cup final. On the WOWT Facebook page, hundreds of people chimed in to express their frustration and school this soccer club on the fact that, yes, girls can have short hair too. Hopefully the public outcry will inspire these tournament organizers to pull their rule books out of the 1950s, because Mili and her team worked hard to get where they were. "They don't have a reason to kick the whole club out".

"Why they want to tell my girl looks like a boy". She's looking forward to playing soccer again-albeit in different tournaments.

As US retreats, European Union and China seek climate leadership at summit
Other European leaders issued more explicit appeals to the USA government not to abandon global measures against climate change. Li said he believed the two had found a solution on the issue of Chinese quotas for electric cars after a lengthy discussion.

Moments later, Wambach said she would contact the tournament organizers herself.

As a result, the team did not play on Sunday in a game that would send the victor to the tournament semifinals, Farivari said. That wasn't enough and tournament organizers have since stood by the decision, only saying that the team can appeal the disqualification.
