The person who reported the sighting told law enforcement they believe they saw Donnie Rowe and Ricky Dubose wearing camouflage trousers and black shirts near Exit 18 off I-95. Investigators said the incident was captured on video. "These are seriously unsafe, vicious hoodlums that need to be apprehended".

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office, S.C. says it is investigating reports of a possible sighting of two unsafe escaped inmates on Thursday.

Sills says it is unclear if the escapees are still traveling together and where they may be.

The Honda Civic was later found in a wooded area behind a Rite Aid convenience store in Madison.

"We can assume they don't have money", Sills said "They are doing like most escapees do".

"They've just been riding up and down through here, questioning people if they know anything please get them to help them get these guys off the street before they end up hurting somebody else", said Tom Escoe, a resident of the mobile home park.

The FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are all involved, as well as law enforcement officers all over Georgia. Both said their immediate focus is on finding the escaped inmates.

The other 31 inmates on the bus provided "vital information" in the early stages of the investigation.

The pair shared a cell while in prison, but authorities say they can't be certain if that is where they hatched their escape plan.

Dubose and Rowe were among a group of 33 inmates from Baldwin State Prison being driven in a van by Sgt. Christopher Monica and Sgt. Curtis Billue.

Sills said Dubose and Rowe ditched a truck they stole in Madison, Georgia, about 260 miles away in Moore County in Tennessee on Thursday. That's when the trail went cold.

That inmate described the green Honda Accord that the two prisoners allegedly carjacked and the direction they drove - toward Eatonton.

Oconee County released an updated mug shot of Dubose showing multiple face tattoos including crown tattoos over both eyebrows, a massive neck tattoo running from beneath his chin to his shirt line and another behind his right ear.

Authorities said there is also damage to the rear right fender on the vehicle.

The sheriff was asked whether the prison gang or its associates could be helping the fugitives elude capture. Friends, relatives and known acquaintances have been interviewed.

"They were inside the caged area of the bus", he said. We will miss them deeply.

Rowe, a repeat offender now serving life without parole, was imprisoned after being convicted on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.

They have confiscated another vehicle and are believed to be armed, which states that they are unsafe as well.

Monica and Billue were transfer sergeants at Baldwin State Prison.

The head of Georgia's Department of Correction, Greg Dozier, declined to talk about how the prisoners where capable of overtaking the armed guards on Thursday.
