The Israel Electric Corporation on Tuesday made further cuts on the electricity supply to Gaza by an addition 6 megawatts, according to Mohammed Thabet, spokesman for Gaza's electricity authority has said.

Since the sole power station in Gaza ran out of fuel and stopped working in April, the 120 megawatts represent 80 percent of available power in the strip.

"We were informed that the reduction will continue with this rate to include all Israel lines", it added.

"The internal deliveries of electricity to consumers inside the Gaza Strip is not the responsibility of the electric company and is done by internal Palestinian authorities in the Gaza Strip", Israel's electric company stated.
