Possible Active Shooter Prompts Lockdown at US Army Post in Alabama

The Arsenal's Twitter account posted that the "installation is locked down".

People were gathered outside the Sparkman Center, which includes multiple buildings with offices, an auditorium, cafeteria and an interior courtyard.

The Marshall Space Flight Center sent an alert at 10:00a.m. Tuesday warning that a "situation exists near the Sparkman Center, RSA bldg".

More than 30,000 government employees, civilians and contractors work daily at Redstone, which adjoins the city of Huntsville in northern Alabama.
