Ex-Bigg Boss contestant physically abused by husband

Former Bigg Boss contestant and Bollywood actress Mandana Karimi files domestic violence case against her husband. She alleges that she has been "tricked out of the matrimonial house" by her husband Gaurav Gupta and her in-laws in less than six months into the marriage. The actress has sought a compensation of Rs. 2 crores and a monthly maintenance of Rs 10 lakh. She was also asked to give away her career as "the profession was incompatible with his family's status in the society".

The complaint includes Gaurav, his mother Madhu Gupta, father Sushil Gupta and brother Gautam Gupta as respondents in her plea.

Mandana mentioned in her report to the magistrate court that she came to India in 2012 to pursue a career in modelling and acting. The Iranian immigrant married her nearly five-year-old boyfriend, Gaurav Gupta this January but ended up filing up for divorce after a brief period of five months. She only allowed us to get married as her son wanted to marry me.

The petition also read that her husband also insisted on her conversion to Hinduism.

Mandana alleged harassment by her mother-in-law and said she was hindered from entering the house by Gaurav.

The actress further revealed that she has made several attempts to reconcile with her in-laws but all went in vain. "Gaurav has cut me off", Mandana told the Mumbai tabloid. I have no clothes, no money and I am staying in an apartment.

Mandana's lawyer has reported that the matter is now in court and they would contest it as per law.
