Google Assistant is coming to third party speakers and appliances

The company announced several new third-party products that either have Google Assistant built in, so you can talk to them like Google Home, or that work with Google Assistant, so you can control them with voice commands. The number of devices that support Google Assistant will soon be expanding, giving you more options for interacting with it. Anker is also behind the Alexa-enabled Eufy Genie, which retails for under $35.

The first third-party speakers to use Google Assistant will be Anker's Zolo Mojo, Mobvoi's TicHome Mini and Panasonic's GA10.

Google finally introduced its famous Assistant to iOS last May. Anker worked hand-in-hand with Google to create the Zolo Mojo, so that everything you can do with the Google Home today, will work with the Zolo Mojo. The move allows for the virtual assistants to garner use from more people and has quickly become the latest front in the broader battle for supremacy. It's called the Panasonic GA10 and what's known so far is that it has Google Assistant. It features one 8cm woofer with dual voice coils, and two 20mm soft dome tweeters. Google is also working on partnering with a bunch of home automation systems for Google Assistant; these include Honeywell, Netatmo and TP-Link. Details about the other two speakers are a bit more sparse, but Panasonic says its tower-like speaker will arrive in "early 2018", while the TicHome Mini, which was technically announced around Google I/O, looks to be highly portable. They also all support multi-room audio and can be paired to Google Homes and Chromecast. These speakers will be coming out later this year and while availability may differ by device, most will be available in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany and France.
