Donald Trump hits back at Clinton, with a golf ball, on Twitter

Posted September 18, 2017

In the latest instance of President Trump seeming to revel in the notion of physical attacks against perceived enemies, the president retweeted an animated GIF showing him hitting a golf ball that then knocks down his onetime rival Hillary Clinton.

In the video, Trump takes a swing, and a woman that appears to be Hillary Clinton falls to the ground as she enters a plane.

"Donald Trump's fantastic golf swing #CrookedHillary", the tweet reads.

While Kelly has not tried to prevent Trump from tweeting, he has urged the President to enable him to vet the tweets previously posting them - a demand Trump has once in a while submitted to.

Cassini spacecraft makes final approach to Saturn
Better that, they figured, than Cassini accidentally colliding with a moon that might harbor life and contaminating it. Any tiny fragments that survive the inferno will sink, melt, and ultimately become diluted in the planet's interior.

A representative for Hillary Clinton declined to remark on the tweet.

"It is distressing though to have a President that, frankly, will tweet and retweet things as juvenile as that", USA representative Adam Schiff of California said in a televised interview.

In July he tweeted an edited video that shows him body-slamming a figure with the CNN logo superimposed on its face.

"It doesn't help, I think, in terms of his stature".

David Urban, a former Trump campaign adviser, was dismissive on CNN's "State of the Union".

In the ensuing social media frenzy, CNN issued a statement denouncing Trump's decision to tweet the video. "She lost the debates and lost her direction!"

The tweet, which came as Trump prepares to head to NY for a critical round of powerhouse diplomacy with world leaders at the United Nations, followed a week during which Clinton reemerged in the spotlight as she promoted her new book, "What Happened", about the 2016 campaign, reviving her fiercest criticisms of Trump and his supporters and reigniting the debate about her stunning, unanticipated loss. "She spent big money but, in the end, had no game!"
