Mueller Reportedly Has Enough Evidence to Charge Michael Flynn and His Son

Posted November 07, 2017

Former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti told CNN on Saturday that "there's no question" that special counsel Robert Mueller will indict more people in his investigation into the Trump 2016 campaign and Russian meddling in the election.

Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn resigned under pressure after only 24 days on the job, setting a record for the shortest tenure in the post.

If Mueller does charge Flynn it would be a milestone because it would mark the first time that a current or former Trump administration official would be formally charged with committing a crime.

Israel offers to help Druze village in Golan Heights
Druze residents tried to cross into Syria, but were held back by Israeli soldiers, Israel's military said on Twitter. Syrian state media say the army has liberated the eastern city of Deir el-Zour from the Islamic State group.

The sources reportedly told NBC that investigators are examining Flynn's lobbying contacts and looking at possible charges of money laundering and lying to federal agents.

Mueller is pressuring Flynn to cooperate with the investigation and is apparently using the former national security adviser's son as leverage.

Barry Coburn, a lawyer for Michael Flynn Jr, declined to comment and Robert Kelner, Flynn's lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Tammy Abraham, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Joe Gomez earn England calls
The Liverpool duo of Sturridge and Oxlade-Chamberlain have been left out, as has Manchester United centre-back Smalling. Gomez, a 20-year-old defender , has been rewarded for his bright start to the season with Liverpool.

The White House has tried to downplay the developments, saying that Papadopoulos was a low-level member of the campaign acting outside of their jurisdiction and arguing that Manafort's and Gates' indictments have nothing to do with potential collusion with the Russian government.

The former army general's son, Michael G Flynn, who is a business partner of his father and worked for Mr Trump during the transition period, is also facing possible charges.

On Oct. 27, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders claimed the Trump administration viewed the Russian probe as "getting closer to conclusion" in an interview on Fox News' America's Newsroom. But cooperation from Flynn, who was national security adviser for only 24 days before he was sacked, could help his son avoid the worst penalties.
