The A8 (2018) comes in two variants with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage, while the A8+ (2018) comes in two variants- 4GB RAM & 32GB storage and a 6GB RAM & 64GB storage option. Just like every other smartphone from Samsung, the onboard storage can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. Both handset will be available in black, orchid grey, and blue. The smartphone is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Samsung has gone with a single rear camera setup of 16MP on both the phones, but the South Korean giant has upped the game when it comes to selfie camera department. Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 3,300mAh battery. Both models support fast charging via USB Type-C. Samsung has claimed that these smartphones can switch easily and automatically between the two sensors located at the front to render the bokeh effects. The upcoming flagship Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are expected to feature the same camera placement.

Google Assistant Now Comes to Tablets & Lollipop Powered Smartphones
During the initial launch, the Google Assistant is only limited to smartphones running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and above. The Assistant on tablets will be rolling out over the coming weeks to users with default language set to English in the US.

It is first-time that Samsung has come up with dual-camera lens in the front. Both these phones are also IP68 certified and support Samsung Pay. The secondary 8MP sensor captures depth information to blur the background. It's good to see Samsung upping the game, and looking to compete with brands. Apart from the discounts on Samsung devices, there are other enticing plans such as the additional 4G data from Reliance Jio, which will be given to customers who make the purchases from this sale. They will be available in January in black, orchid grey, gold and blue for about EUR499 and EUR599, respectively, and the fact that the pricing is given in European currency should hint at you that we might never see these two released officially on a USA carrier.
