Or, well, maybe a lot greener, considering police reportedly seized about 60 pounds of marijuana, which the elderly couple, 80-year-old Patrick Jiron and 83-year-old Barbara Jiron, told cops they meant to give as Christmas presents, according to the York News-Times.

However, police say 80-year-old Patrick Jiron and his 83-year-old wife Barbara Jiron won't be filling stockings with holiday cheer this year. The couple said they planned to "distribute the marijuana to family and friends as Christmas gifts". When they pulled the vehicle over, deputies smelled a pungent odor of marijuana, NPR said.

The marijuana was seized and it is estimated that the street value is $336,000, according to Sgt. Vrbka.

That some turned out to be a shitload, as a quick search of the pickup topper on the couple's Toyota Tacoma yielded a few boxes with 60 pounds of pot inside. They told cops it was intended for Christmas presents. They were headed to Vermont. Barbara is the second defendant, and was "cited in the case but was not jailed 'due to some medical issues,'" Vrbka told the York News-Times. Patrick Jiron was charged with felony marijuana possession with the intent to deliver and having no drug tax stamp.
