WhatsApp officially introduces Business App for small businesses

WhatsApp has been working on a business focused app for small and medium sized businesses over the past year, and the app is now ready to download on Android users. For instance if you run a small online clothing company or have a local grocery store or small bakery, then WhatsApp Business app can then help you connect more efficiently with your customers.

WhatsApp Business is now available for free on Google Play in Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, UK, and US. Brazil, India and other markets will be getting access to the business app in the coming weeks, the company wrote in a blog post. WhatsApp users will know if they're talking to a business when they see that it's listed as a Business Account.

Though WhatsApp Business seems to be initially aimed at smaller businesses, according to Tech Crunch, the app will in the future be joined by larger businesses - such as e-commerce sites and banks - with a global customer base. Over time, WhatsApp plans to add confirmed accounts to those businesses which provide and account phone number that matches the business phone number.

Alternatively, a Standard Edition will be available too if you'd prefer to have just the game on disc to add to your game collection.
