Cape Town: India will be coming to the third ODI match against South Africa with a chance to extend their lead in the six-match ODI series. AB de Villiers, Faf du Plessis and Quinton de Kock have all been ruled out of the remaining matches on this Indian tour.

Heinrich Klaasen, the only other specialist wicketkeeper in the squad, is nearly certain to make his ODI debut in Cape Town. "This type of injury will require between 2-4 weeks to heal, which subsequently rules him out of the remainder of the ODI and T20 series against India. The Cricket South Africa medical team will aim to have him ready for the Test series against Australia starting next month", South Africa team manager Dr Mohammed Moosajee was quoted as saying in a Cricket South Africa (CSA) release.

De Kock was hurt during South Africa's heavy nine-wicket loss to India in the second match of their six-game ODI series in Pretoria on Sunday, which the hosts lost to go down 2-0.

Despite the twin setbacks in terms of results and Philippe Coutinho's untimely departure, Liverpool are in a pretty good position. Tottenham's superior defence could prove to be the difference in this clash, especially if Alderweireld is fit to start.

Virat Kohli-led team India, enthusiastic with two successive wins, will try to take an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the one-day series against South Africa. They have particularly been very effective in denying South Africa the opportunity to build partnerships, especially upfront. India are a strong team.

All of this places enormous pressure on South Africa's young stand-in captain Aiden Markram.

South Africa will hope, though, that De Kock's enforced break proves to be a blessing in disguise. Pandey knocked the head off South Africa's batting order, taking the opening three wickets to leave the hosts 23/3. It has been a summer of torment for the talented left-hander.

Judge Janice Cunningham ultimately decided not to punish Margraves for breaching court rules, but said she could have. He added, "What if this happened to you guys?" We'll let you know if criminal charges are filed.

Quinton de Kock's absence means Heinrich Klaasen is set to make his debut.

Zondo scored only 25 runs off 45 balls, and played far too many risky strokes, but in an innings that folded for 118 runs in 32.2 overs, he was the joint top-scorer with JP Duminy.
