Kelly Ripa Stands by 'Live!' Co-Host Ryan Seacrest Amid Misconduct Allegations

Seacrest has denied the accusations and said Variety didn't approach him for response before publishing the story.

Kelly Ripa has come out in support of her Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host Ryan Seacrest amid his ongoing sexual misconduct scandal.

In addition to taping the Kimmel segment Sunday night, Seacrest is also scheduled to host the red-carpet pre-show for the E! cable channel.

"I mean there is a lot to think about with E!, you know?" she said.

Seacrest accused his former stylist Hardy of attempting to blackmail him, in a statement provided to People on Tuesday. "I absolutely support this cause unequivocally and applaud all the courageous souls who have come forward to share their stories".

"Seacrest fully denied the allegations on Wednesday (Feb. 27), saying ".those accusations were then investigated by an independent third-party over the course of a two-month process and involved dozens of interviews that included me, the accuser and countless others. Ultimately, my name was cleared.

The media mogul added, "This person who has accused me of frightful things offered, on multiple occasions, to withdraw her claims if I paid her millions of dollars". A spokesperson told Variety, "Any claims that question the legitimacy of this investigation are completely baseless".
