Davis turns ankle, but Pelicans roll to 10th straight win

Posted March 10, 2018

Anthony Davis returned from a rib contusion to score 41 points in a 121-116 win over the Clippers on Tuesday.

New Orleans holds the fourth spot in the Western Conference.

Cousins asking Davis for his Achilles is amusing yet sad, as it is a reminder that the former Sacramento Kings star will miss the remainder of the campaign (and potentially part of the 2018-2019 season) with a tear in his own Achilles. The All-Star was back with his teammates in Los Angeles on Tuesday and appeared to be in excellent spirits. The Pelicans are in a similar position, going 9-4 without the injured DeMarcus Cousins and recalibrating their own lineup. Los Angeles went up by four with 2:05 left but Davis answered with six straight points, including the tiebreaking jumper with 31 seconds remaining.

Fitzpatrick is expected to be the first safety off the board, but James proved to be the more explosive athlete at the Combine. I bet teams are heading back to their respective cities and throwing on more tape of Griffin after his Combine performance.

After he led the New Orleans Pelicans to a 121-116 win with a game-high 41 points, 13 rebounds, three blocks and three steals, Davis revealed a amusing exchange he had with DeMarcus Cousins at halftime. He had to leave the game in the third quarter with an ankle injury and did not return. However, the Clippers had other plans in mind, surging immediately after the quarter started, tying the game with 5:23 to play.

Davis is third in the National Basketball Association in win shares (10.5) but is getting it done on both ends. Says dad they were to sanity can't play and they struggle against Washington that'd be like man we were up and have a big party to celebrate ten wins in a row.

Mirotic and reserve guard Ian Clark scored a combined 24 points in the first half and paved the way for the Pelicans to take a 62-44 lead into the half.

Flake said it was tough to dissuade Trump because the president "keeps coming back like a homing pigeon on trade deficits". Trump says he's not anxious about Russian Federation meddling in the 2018 midterm elections .

"I just played simple", Mirotic said.

The teams traded the lead before Harrell completed a three-point play and Williams added a layup on the next trip for a 113-109 lead with 2:05 to go.

Davis, who also had 13 rebounds, three blocked shots and three steals, left the court and headed for the Pelicans' locker room after getting an accidental hip check from DeAndre Jordan with 3:04 left in the first half.

But then Davis took over down the stretch.
