Blake Painter Cause of Death: 'Deadliest Catch' Star Dies At 38

There's some sad news for Deadliest Catch fans.

Blake Painter, one of the stars of the hit Discovery Channel show Deadliest Catch, was found dead inside his home Friday, according to a report from TMZ. When officers arrived at the home, they determined that Painter had been dead for several days. The site reports that no foul play is suspected but police are testing the substances that were found on site of his death.

The 36-year-old American climbed out of the vehicle and appeared uninjured but was taken to the medical centre as a precaution. Throughout her career, Patrick made eight appearances in the Indianapolis 500 and finished in the top 10 during six of those.

A friend of his had called the police, having become anxious because he had not had contact with Painter for days on end. Authorities entered the home and discovered his body.

Painter was heavily featured on the second and third seasons of Deadliest Catch, where he commanded the F/V Maverick, a crabbing vessel. The paper said he was charged with DUI and heroin possession, among other things. He was 38 years old.
