LeBron James: No ceiling for my prime playing years

Posted May 31, 2018

It will be James' 8th consecutive trip to the Finals, and the 4th consecutive Finals matchup between the Cavs and the Warriors.

Iguodala's status for Game 1 on Thursday night is a question as he recovers from a bone bruise in his left knee, which caused him to miss the final four games of the Western Conference finals against Houston.

But he knows the Warriors will continue to be the league's benchmark and they'll have to figure out a way to beat them if they hope to win a championship.

Cleveland and Golden State are meeting for a record fourth straight finals series.

But the Warriors are always the better team - and perhaps because of that, this Golden State squad has the nasty habit of playing disengaged, entitled basketball, trusting that they can play a one good quarter (or half of a quarter) and win. Cleveland's Jeff Green recalled watching Durant as a rookie when they were teammates in Seattle, and one thing impressed above all. It's hard to see anything but a win at home for the Warriors to kick off the series, but I think the value is with the Cavaliers and the points.

Russians die in IS fight in Syria
It said the jihadists had targeted a group of Syrian and allied Russian troops in Deir Ezzor province on Wednesday. The Russian ministry said that the dead were military advisers attached to a Syrian army unit in the Deir el-Zour.

"For me as a competitor, it's fun", James said. I think the Warriors win the Finals - just like previous year - in five games. I know one of you guys would love to be [that person].

Four-time NBA Most Valuable Player James has averaged 34.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 8.8 assists in the playoffs, taking command in game-seven playoff wins over Boston and in to keep the title dream alive.

"There's a lot of just built-up anxiety, I guess, about this moment".

And if you're wondering how we can be so dismissing of the Cavs, well, it's because they needed a Boston breakdown to get past a team that was missing Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward. Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said James appeared exhausted in Game 5, and then Cleveland big man Larry Nance Jr. fell into James' right leg in Game 6.

The Spurs won that series in five games.

Trump and Kim raise summit hopes after days of brinkmanship
The prime minister said he plans to hold talks with Trump over the telephone soon after returning to Japan. It looks like Trump didn't tell anyone before he chose to pull out of the summit. "That hasn't changed .

"I'm truly blessed to have the opportunity", Hill said.

But just because these two teams have met the past three years, that doesn't mean there's nothing to talk about heading into this series.

Had the Celtics stuck to their simple passing game and allowed their talented though inexperienced youngsters to exploit the openings and wear out the Clevelanders, they'd still have games to play this season. That is a tall order considering the defending champions have scored at least 100 points in 13 of their 17 playoff games. He's done that kind of thing a few times in this ridiculous dominance of the Eastern Conference, but this season he has hoisted the Cavaliers on his shoulders to an even more silly degree.

"It will be interesting to see how competitive LeBron James can make this Finals, but any game they get in this Finals would be a huge upset to me", Van Gundy said.

The All-Star point guard was Cleveland's not-so-secret weapon, the one the Cavs turned to in order to spell James and keep the Warriors off-balance.

R Kelly accused by woman of mental and sexual abuse
In recent years, as more women have come forward to allege misconduct, protests against Kelly have increased. An appearance at a concert in his native Chicago scheduled earlier this month was canceled after protests.

"They were devastated. we thought we were so close", D'Antoni said. We'll have to see but I'm all for bringing him back.
