Sources Expect Bryan Colangelo To Lose Job With 76ers

Throughout the investigation, ownership has shown little inclination to separate Colangelo's potential culpability with that of a close associate or family member. The franchise was in the process of launching an internal probe into who was responsible for anonymous Twitter accounts criticizing and personally attacking Philadelphia players, including star Joel Embiid, and disclosing information that could only be known by someone close to the team.

If found guilty, Colangelo isn't just as good as fired but will be very unlikely to find another job in the National Basketball Association, let alone in the front office, likely facing lawsuits for several HIPAA violations and breach of confidential information given to him as a top-of-the-line executive.

"I talked to him, and he said that he didn't say that", Embiid told ESPN Tuesday.

Latest Class-Action Lawsuit Against Harvey Weinstein Reveals New Sexual Assault Allegations
The lawsuit was filed one week after he was arrested on rape and criminal sex act charges stemming from accounts by other women. Almost 100 women have now accused Weinstein of crimes ranging from sexual harassment to assault and rape going back decades.

"I don't believe the story. If true though, that would be really bad".

According to ESPN's league sources, the Sixers also commissioned an outside law firm to investigate the matter, an investigation that has already included Colangelo surrending his cell phones.

The source added, unless the perpetrator made some mistakes, it would be hard to definitively prove who tweeted out the information. He said in a statement that he used one of the accounts to monitor the National Basketball Association industry and other current events, but that he was "not familiar with any of the other accounts" brought to his attention and that he didn't know who was "behind them or what their motives may be in using them".

Blake Painter Cause of Death: 'Deadliest Catch' Star Dies At 38
The site reports that no foul play is suspected but police are testing the substances that were found on site of his death. A friend of his had called the police, having become anxious because he had not had contact with Painter for days on end.

The tweets included defenses of Colangelo's job performance and disparaging comments about his predecessor with the Sixers, Sam Hinkie, and his successor as president of the Toronto Raptors, Masai Ujiri.

The tweets mentioned the Sixers have video footage, presumably from their practice facility, of Fultz's trainer, Keith Williams, instructing Fultz to shoot while sitting on a chair lying on his back.

Commissioner Adam Silver addressed the situation Thursday. "And the first thing we have to do here is determine what the actual facts are, in this circumstance", said Silver.
