ASUS ROG Phone pulls out all the stops for Android gaming

Posted June 05, 2018

Asus is the latest smartphone maker to jump into this emerging market with the ROG Phone.

The Asus Phone features a 6-inch full HD+ AMOLED display, which comes thin bezels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

The keyboard can withstand up to 60ml of liquids, and ASUS notes that the key caps are covered with three layers of paint - one more than traditional keyboards (to make it TUF). It also features not one, but two USB-C ports, one for regular charging, the other for accessories and for charging it while playing in portrait orientation. Oh, and 8GB of RAM is on offer with storage weighing in at 128GB to 512GB. Why, you ask? Well, for the ROG Phone. The main design highlight of the phone is its 3D vapor-chamber cooling system for keeping the device from overheating.

Apple, Samsung, Microsoft and others given ‘deep access’ to Facebook user data
Microsoft (msft) said any data its software got from Facebook stayed on users' devices and was not uploaded to its own servers. Partners could not integrate the user's Facebook features with their devices without the user's permission.

While ASUS has paid a lot of attention to the common areas of complaints of mobile phones, they've also paid a lot of attention to a lot of the areas that commonly aren't complained about. Asus may have the ideal gaming laptop for you.

With the release of popular competitive mobile games like PUBG and Fortnite on mobile, there is renewed interest in "gaming phones".

The Asus ROG Phone will be available during the third quarter of 2018 in Canada. Talking of which, the ROG Phone's AMOLED display has a super quick 90Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time plus support for HDR.

Sources Expect Bryan Colangelo To Lose Job With 76ers
The source added, unless the perpetrator made some mistakes, it would be hard to definitively prove who tweeted out the information.

There are a pair of front-facing dual-speakers and in terms of optics, the phone has an 8 MP front camera along with 12MP + 8MP ultra-wide on the back.

The TUF Gaming K5 is the first keyboard from ASUS to have a "splash proof" design, protecting your keyboard switches and internal components from damage if any unwanted spills occur on your desk. The phone's got a copper heat spreader and carbon cooling pads inside, and it all boils down (sorry) to 50% faster sustained clock speeds than a "standard" smartphone CPU, according to the company. If you're a hardcore mobile gamer, however, nothing on or coming to the market now beats the gaming power packed in that size. That accessory also adds 6,000 mAh of power to the setup. In terms of benchmark performance, ASUS claims that it could score more than 300,000 points on AnTutu, beating the BlackShark and Razer Phone by a significant margin. It still has customizable Aura Sync lighting in the scroll wheel and the ROG logo, however, and these can be matched with other compatible accessories. Asus hasn't mentioned the Android version running on this device, but we expect it to run Android 8.1 Oreo. There's the TwinView Dock, which turns the ROG Phone into a dual-screen console not entirely unlike the Nintendo DS, and the Mobile Desktop Dock that allows you to connect to an external monitor and play with a mouse and keyboard. There is also a 30mm gap behind the motherboard tray to bunch your cables up and keep them out of sight, while also being able to close the side panel easily.

LeBron James: No ceiling for my prime playing years
It will be James' 8th consecutive trip to the Finals , and the 4th consecutive Finals matchup between the Cavs and the Warriors . That is a tall order considering the defending champions have scored at least 100 points in 13 of their 17 playoff games.
