It was been reported all week that Conte was on the verge of leaving his post as head coach of the Blues, with Maurizio Sarri close to being appointed as his successor.

Chelsea football club are allegedly accusing Conte of breaching his contract after confirming the end of his employment on Friday morning.

"During Antonio's time at the club, we won our sixth league title and eighth FA Cup".

Maurizio Sarri is now free to fly to London today, with a compensation deal finally being struck with Napoli.

Sarri has also presented a list of players he would like to sign.

Incredibly the club have released a statement thanking Conte for his services to the club, but the message only consisted of 52 words.

Chelsea ultimately finished 30 points behind Premier League champions Manchester City and exited the Champions League at the last-16 stage after a 4-1 aggregate defeat by Barcelona.

Before joining Chelsea, Conte had only coached in his native Italy, leading Juventus to three consecutive Serie A titles from 2012-14 before taking over the national team at Euro 2016.
