First Alert Weather Day: Tracking afternoon and evening storms

Meteorologist Mark Larson says rain and storm chances will stay with us through Wednesday morning so don't give up if you haven't seen any free water yet. The severe thunderstorm warning has been extended to 7 p.m. Waves of wet weather with locally heavy rainfall possible, 60-70 percent, across southeast Georgia and northeast Florida. Storms will fire-up in Colorado and Nebraska then roll east-southeastward into our area.

Scattered showers and storms will develop along I-75 this morning and continue to push inland and across I-95 this afternoon. "If some storms move slow enough or if multiple storms move over the same area, storm total rainfall could be as high as 4 to 5" in some towns.
