Donald Trump Promised Dirt On Clinton 2 Days Before Trump Tower Meeting

Posted July 29, 2018

"(No, ) I did NOT know of the meeting with my son, Don jr".

President Trump took to Twitter Friday morning to deny that he knew about his son's meeting in Trump Tower in June 2016, following news that his longtime attorney Michael Cohen is willing to tell special counsel Robert Mueller that the presidential candidate knew about the meeting in advance.

Cohen wasn't at the Trump Tower meeting and Cohen has not offered evidence to support the claim that Trump knew about the meeting. And both Trump and Trump Jr. have repeatedly denied that Trump knew about the meeting before it happened.

Meanwhile, Goldberg, who served as Trump's attorney for decades, told Burnett there were mistakes all around in the release of a tape of Trump and Cohen speaking about a payoff to a former Playboy model, but added he has been vindicated for his warnings to the president not to hire former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani as his attorney.

Trump Jr., then-Trump presidential campaign chairman Paul Manafort, and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner were present at the meeting.

The actress had explained on Jimmy Kimmel's show, "We were both wearing Ralph Lauren and we made a decision to go together". Later, it was revealed that she has started shooting for Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink with Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.

His lawyer Alan Futerfas issued a statement Thursday evening saying that: "Donald Trump Jr. has been professional and responsible throughout the Mueller and Congressional investigations".

The recording is one of more than 100 recordings seized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation during a raid on Cohen's office earlier this year, according to the Washington Post.

That raises an important question about Cohen's claims: Who has more credibility, the president, or his former lawyer?

"(Cohen) even retained Bill and Crooked Hillary's (Clinton) lawyer", Trump also wrote, referring to Davis. Gee, I wonder if they helped him make the choice!'

That means he did not know how to prepare for the future impeachment of Cohen as a witness when he commented earlier this year that he believed Cohen to be a truthful person.

In an interview on CNN's "Cuomo Prime Time" Thursday night, Trump's lawyer in the Russian Federation investigation, Rudy Giuliani, called Cohen a "pathological liar".

"If Trump knew in advance that the Russians had stolen information, and understood its importance, that puts him at risk, in legal jeopardy, of being part of the conspiracy that the Russians have been charged with to defraud the USA", she said.

"Trump tweeted. "(The) only Collusion with Russian Federation was with the Democrats, so now they are looking at my Tweets (along with 53 million other people) - the rigged Witch Hunt continues!"

CNN, citing unidentified sources with knowledge of the matter, said Cohen was willing to make that assertion to Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating whether Trump's presidential campaign had worked with Russian Federation to sway the 2016 US presidential election.

Mr Mueller has already indicted 31 people - including 12 Russian intelligence agents - for hacking computer networks of the Democratic Party. Mr. Cohen has also been badly hurt by Mr. Trump's public anger and is determined to hit back, according to two people familiar with this thinking. The president also characterized the raid as a break-in and suggested Cohen's actions were "perhaps illegal".
