Ryan is seven-years-old and spends his days playing with toys.

Ryan's parents set up the channel in March 2015, its videos, since the day of launching, have had nearly 26 billion views and amassed 17.3 million followers.

Oscar-winner Brie Larson plays the titular heroine - who was once Carol Danvers, an Air Force fighter pilot. Captain Marvel is an utter badass who has saved the world innumerably and does so with a unique flair.

The toys featured in Ryan's videos often sell out. Turns out it's actually child's play, because among others this one particular kid made over $22 million in a year, just by making YouTube videos.

Like PewDiePie and the video game industry, Ryan has influenced the toy industry as his reviews - which get millions of views - can affect toy sales. The smaller portion of Ryan's income came from sponsored posts.

Jake Paul came in second on the list, earning US$21.5 million for his goofy raps and pranks.

Asked by NBC why kids liked watching his videos, Ryan - who is now 8 - replied: "Because I'm entertaining and I'm amusing". Forbes said because he is a minor, 15 per cent of Ryan's earnings are funneled into a "Coogan account" which is protected until he becomes a legal adult.
