Huawei Nova 4 launched with 48MP rear camera, 6.4-inch FHD+ display

The phone comes with a 6.40-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2310 pixels at a PPI of 398 pixels per inch. Like the recently announced Samsung Galaxy A8s, the Nova 4 too won't have a notch. Additionally, the smartphone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The front camera peeking through that little hole is 25MP.

The unveiling was supported with some neat slides, revealing that over 65 million people bought devices from the nova series that was launched two years ago. Supplementing the performance of the Kirin 970 is 8GB RAM and you get 128GB of internal storage. In China, the Nova 4 is already available for.pre orders and will go on sale by the end of this month. The much-awaited handset will have a display hole to house the selfie camera and will be the first to feature a 48-megapixel sensor in the triple rear camera setup.

The lower variant of the Nova 4 will reportedly come with a different combination that includes 20-megapixel, 16-megapixel, and 2-megapixel sensors.

Earlier today, Huawei officially announced the launch of its new sub-premium phone, the Nova 4. It now sets you back 3,399 yuan (about $490) in China, but there's also a cheaper version that goes for $3,099-yuan ($450), which replaces the 48MP shooter on the back with a 20MP sensor.
