Early this morning, Apple announced the launch of its new streaming game and TV services.

Elsewhere in the presentation, Apple's vice president of services, Peter Stern, gave a few more details about the new additions to the Apple TV app.

Hollywood celebrities trekked to Apple's home to help debut a revamped Apple TV digital storefront, called Apple TV+. The app will also be available for Mac, select smart TVs, Roku, and Fire TV devices.

Shares in Roku, meanwhile, are up nearly 5% after the announcement that Roku is among the new distribution partner's for Apple's revamped TV app. Amazon and smart-TV makers like Samsung are also going to be getting the app. "They feature the work of some of the world's best journalists", Cook said, touting the new service, known as Apple News+.

Samsung Galaxy A40 Leaked Renders Tip Infinity-U Display, Dual Rear Cameras
The Galaxy A40 is also seen to be packing a dual rear camera setup with a single LED flash as well as a rear fingerprint sensor. The Samsung Galaxy A40 has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass.

Apple did not announce a price for the new service. It can also loop in programming from Amazon Prime Video and Hulu if you have a subscription. Apple's new video service is expected to have original TV shows and movies that reportedly cost it more than US$1 billion - far less than Netflix and HBO spend every year.

In a demonstration on stage, Apple showed off the service.

Apple TV+ positions the company as a challenger to Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, which also produce original content and lead the US market for paid video streaming services. Made by some of the most critically acclaimed game developers in the world, Apple Arcade games will entertain customers with incredibly fun gameplay and immersive stories, while capturing imaginations with original art and music.

Apple News+ can be used as a family plan at no extra cost, Apple said, and each family member will receive customized recommendations based on their reading history. Apple did reveal a short video, just over a minute long, that's sort of mega-trailer for Apple's upcoming original content.

European Union impatient with Brexit, but resigned to delay
In October she controversially suggested that a no-deal Brexit would be better than Theresa May's Chequers proposals for the EU. Mrs May's spokesman, James Slack, said the government would only hold a vote if there is "a realistic prospect of success".

During an onstage video montage, Apple showed snippets of several graphically-impressive games now in development for Apple Arcade, which appeared to cover a large swath of different genres, from puzzles to adventure.

Apple watchers complained on social media that they could've done with less hype, and more actual clips from the shows. Apple Arcade will launch in Fall 2019. He was there with his new friend, a little girl monster puppet named Cody who told us about her new show that will introduce kids to coding and focus on STEM.

As an avid gamer, I have downloaded hundreds of games onto my iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV over the years.

Apple will offer a new ad-free subscription gaming service called Apple Arcade, which lets users access more than 100 games exclusive or new to Apple. The budgeting features are done on device, and Apple said it will not sell user information to third-parties. It was unusual, because it showed Apple's hardware taking a back seat to its new services-oriented businesses.

Real Call of Duty (with battle royale?) finally coming to mobile
Although it may not seem like it now, there was once a time when the Call of Duty name commanded respect rather than derision. Prior to this official announcement , Activision was testing Call of Duty Mobile with limited users in Australia.
