HP is recalling thousands of its laptop batteries due to fire concerns

The CPSC said a possible overheating of the batteries could cause "fire and burn hazards". HP past year issued a recall of around 40,000 batteries, warning users' of affected laptops that they might end up with a scolded lap. In the U.S., users can call HP customer service at 1-888-202-4320 to request a replacement battery. According to Health Canada , HP Canada has only received one report in which affected laptop battery caught on fire, but it didn't injure anyone. Read More
